About the School
A Christian Minority Co-Educational English Medium School under Article 30 of the Indian Constitution
Governed by : The Diocese of Barrackpore, Under Church of North India
The school derives its name from the name of Stephen, the first Christian martyr of the first century missionaries after Jesus Christ. St. Stephen is regarded as the “ FONDER SAINT” of the School and the “FOUNDER DAY” in the school is celebrated on 15th February every year. This day is marked as St. Stephen’s Day in the Biblical Calender. All our students are expected to be aware of who St. Stephen was.
The Holy Bible says that St. Stephen was a man, full of faith, wisdom and Holy Spirit. God richly blessed him, and being full of power, he performed many great miracles and wonders among the people of the carly Church. He spoke boldly against the Jewish leaders and the establishment in his mission to spread the Jewish leaders and the establishment in his mission to spread the message of God. He warned them about their rejection of God’s messengers and for not obeying God’s Laws. As the members of the Jewish /council listened to Stephen they were furious and gnashed their teeth in anger.
